Naho Ogawa is a Tokyo-based author–illustrator with over 20 years of experience in
editorial, children’s publishing, apparel, textiles, stationery
including international collaborations across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong,
South Korea, Malaysia, Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
She studied illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York,
where she developed her approach to visual storytelling.
She is the author–illustrator of four published picture books in Japan, creating warm, character-driven stories
that explore small everyday moments with gentle humor and emotional depth.
Her work combines a distinctive Japanese sensibility with universal storytelling,
shaped by her ongoing engagement with the international children’s book community,
including participation in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
She is drawn to creating stories that resonate across cultures and offer children moments of warmth and imagination.
She is currently seeking representation in children’s literature
and is interested in developing picture book projects for an international audience.
Her work is well suited for picture book series and character-based projects.
